The European Federation for Intercultural Learning (EFIL) is the umbrella platform for AFS organisations in Europe and the Mediterranean.
Our work
We work to expand access to inclusive and high-quality intercultural mobility through advocacy, increasing inclusivity, diversification and quality of intercultural learning opportunities and fostering active citizenship through volunteerism and intercultural learning experiences while supporting national and international organisations with similar purposes.
Our areas of impact
Under EFIL's Strategic Plan 2026-2028, our key strategic statements are structured within four areas of impact: Public Dialogue, Intercultural Learning, Active Citizenship, and Fundraising.
EFIL Member Organisations
EFIL is the umbrella organisation of AFS organisations in Europe and the Mediterranean. EFIL comprises 24 member organisations in Europe and South Mediterranean.
