I. A European Pool of Trainers: what for?

The European Federation for Intercultural Learning, EFIL,organises 4-6 volunteer seminars a year. These seminars are, ingeneral, one week long activities hosted by different organisations. They are organised by Preparatory teams of 5 (4 volunteer trainers andthe EFIL training co-ordinator) who are in charge of the preparation, the implementation and evaluation of the training activities.

Thepreparatory team members meet in general 4-6 months before the seminarduring a week-end of preparation to design the programme and shareresponsibilities. The week-end before the seminar, the Prep team meetsto finalise the details of the activity.

The selectedtrainers (please see profile further) will have to commit themselves toorganise at least 1 seminar over a period of 2 years.

Thetrainers should also bear in mind that they may receive offers to actas Travelling Trainers and run short workshops on seldom occasions forMember organisations.

II. How it works

EFIL calls upon the members of the European Pool of Trainers to fill the positions of preparatory team members for the EFIL training activities. In order not to interfere with national training events, the EFIL Secretariatinforms the Partner Directors whenever a new training team out of theEuropean Pool of Trainers(EPOT) is put together. Partner Directors maythen simply confirm that the choice of the trainer or the schedule ofthe EFIL training does not adversely affect their own trainings.
